Hyacinth Hippo

Chance of Meeting: Pretty bad!
Best Place to Meet:  Epcot, perhaps.

Hyacinth Hippo appears in the classic Disney film “Fantasia.”

That’s about the only place you’ll find her, too.  Meeting her in the parks is a very, very big deal as it is almost impossible.  Haycinth is indeed a rare pink hippo and you’ll be lucky to track her down.  When you do though, there is the chance there will be multiple dancing hippos.  They have been seen at a Characters in Bloom event at Epcot several years ago, but otherwise hasn’t been seen out.

Chance of Meeting: Not good right now, but possibly improving in the U.S… good in Paris!
Best Place to Meet:   Disneyland Paris.

No one’s slick as Gaston.  No one’s quick as Gaston.  And no one’s as rare as Gaston, the baddie from “Beauty & The Beast.”

Seen above in the “Beauty & The Beast” stageshow at Hollywood Studios, his meet and greet costume is basically the same.  However, you don’t have much of a chance to see it!  He hasn’t been out in the states in years, appearing randomly once or twice at the Magic Kingdom in Florida.  However, with the opening of Gaston’s Tavern coming in the reworked Fantasyland in the next few years, perhaps he’ll reappear.  We are told, however, that he is out all the time in Disneyland Paris!

Carl Fredrickson

Chance of Meeting: Not good right now, but possibly improving!
Best Place to Meet:   Hopefully Animal Kingdom in the near future!

From Disney-Pixar’s “Best Picture” nominated film “Up”, we have Carl Fredrickson.  He loves his wife, is annoyed by construction and boy scouts, and proudly wears a grape soda bottle top as a pin.

With Lotso from “Toy Story 3″ taking over the Animation Building at Hollywood Studios in Florida, Carl and his “Up” friends have been displaced.  Rumor has it that Carl and Dug will be moving to Animal Kingdom soon.

Lewis and Wilbur Robinson

Chance of Meeting: Pretty bad!
Best Place to Meet:   Nowhere, really, as far as we know.

Lewis Robinson (the blonde kid above) and his son from the future Wilbur Robinson are from the movie “Meet the Robinsons.”

When their movie was released, they were found in the Animation Building at Hollywood Studios in Florida.  Unfortunately, the movie was not a huge success and they were displaced.  They stayed at Hollywood in front of the big hat at random, but have since totally disappeared.  They are said to be retired, but we all know to never give up on meeting characters!

Have you met the Robinsons anywhere lately at any park in the world?

Zowie is one of the stars of the former Playhouse Disney show “Rolie Polie Olie.”

Zowie and Rolie Polie Olie have retired from the Disney parks, as far as we know.  We know they appeared in Hollywood Studios, and showed up a few times at the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.  It has been many years since they have come back out though, so we don’t have much hope for meeting them.

Have you met Zowie anywhere?

Kronk is one of the stars of the Disney animated film “The Emperor’s New Groove” and headlining star of the sequel “Kronk’s New Groove”, as well as the animated series “The Emperor’s New School.”

Not out nearly as much as he was during the time he was in the theatres and on the air, Kronk is a rarity to find.  We’ve heard talk that he was out once or twice in the last year or two in California Adventure, but we don’t know about that.   Finding him might take extreme good luck!

Kanga and Roo

Chance of Meeting: Pretty impossible, really.
Best Place to Meet:  Don’t bother!

Kango the kangaroo,  along with her daughter Roo, are from the classic Winnie the Pooh stories.

Kango and Roo are VERY hard to meet.  Pretty impossible.  However, you can see them in Florida primarily at the Magic Kingdom.  They appear in the Boo To You parade during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party as well as the Christmas parade during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Frozone

Chance of Meeting: Good!
Best Place to Meet:  Hollywood Studios’ Animation Building.

Frozone  is Mr. Incredible’s best friend and crime-fighting buddy in the Disney-Pixar film “The Incredbles.”

Frozone is fairly easy to meet.  The Incredibles have their own meet and greet spot in the Animation Building at Florida’s Hollywood Studios, and Mr. and Mrs. Incredible rotate their turn in the spot with Frozone.  So check the times guide and see when the spot is open.  If he’s not there when you get there, go meet Mickey and he’ll be there when you get done!  You can also meet him at times at the Magic Kingdom, during the “Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It!” street parade, held several times daily.  He’ll stop and dance sometimes, and that’s your chance.

Vidia

Chance of Meeting: Good!
Best Place to Meet:  Magic Kingdom or Disneyland in Pixie Hollow.

Vidia is the newest addition to Pixie Hollow.  Spawned from the three Tinkerbell movies, she is the fastest flying of the fairies.

As with the others, minus Tink, you have a varied shot at meeting her.  Chances are she’ll be around a little more frequently while she’s new, but usually the non-Tink fairies (and Terence) alternate.  It’s always Tink and two others.  You never know until you hit the entrance who will be sharing Tink’s spotlight.  You can find Vidia and all the fairies (and, again, Terence) at Pixie Hollow, both at the Magic Kingdom in Florida and at Disneyland in California.

LeRoy Small

Chance of Meeting: Good!
Best Place to Meet:  Hollywood Studios, on Hollywood or Sunset Blvd.

LeRoy Small is a big time talent agent who goes by the motto “Small in size, big in talent!”  He’s always searching for new talent to sign!

You can meet him randomly during the day on Hollywood or Sunset Blvds. at Hollywood Studios in Florida.  The “Citizens of Hollywood” are out daily, but not always the same citizens.  Check the times guide for when they’ll be out, but watch out… LeRoy is known to kick high in the air and shout “POW!”
