The Beast, from the animated classic “Beauty & The Beast”, is out and about in several forms. However, you’re most likely to find him in one beastly form.

The Beast, in beastly form

The Beast, in human form
Where have you met either version of the Beast? Those of you outside of Florida, where is he in your parks?

Hi everyone!
Doing some character updating tonight, but going back through already posted characters and updating information (both based on tips you’ve commented with – many thanks! – as well as other info I’ve found out.
I have also added two sections of links here on the main page, under the endlessly long “characters” box on the right side. There is “Non-Disney Friends”, which really right now should be “Non-Disney Friend.” And there are “They Have Ears”, which are Disney-site friends. Some are those of you who have sent visitors my way – thanks, Character Central and Disneyland Daily Photo – and others that I just check out on a regular basis. If you have a Disney site that you’d like to see included, send me a message and let me know!
I’ve said this before, but I hope to do some more updating on this site soon. While it seems like I’ve knocked out a huge list of characters, I really haven’t at ALL.
You might see me play with a few things tonight, such as layouts and such. Let me know what you think! Do you like the “classic” look I’ve had for a while, or could it use some work? What do you suggest? Do you have any recommendations for characters or other info for this blog? Any ideas are good ones, right?
You can also tweet me – http://www.twitter.com/disneycharblog – and say hello or shoot me ideas. Nobody ever does – and I rarely check it because of that, but if I actually get some tweets I might make it more of a habit again!
Thank you all so much as always!

Hi!
Not a full-blown update, but there is one coming. Hollywood Studios (in Florida) is sending three characters into retirement (or limbo, at least): JoJo and Goliath, who will disappear sooner than later, and Prince Caspian, who is already gone. Coming to Hollywood will be Lotso, the new character from Toy Story 3, and the prince from Prince of Persia.
More updates coming in the next few days! Thanks for all of the visits! I have a fellow character blog to shout out next time I’m here too, one that kinda blows mine away!

Donald Duck
The popular “Dream Along With Mickey” stage show is held daily at Florida’s Magic Kingdom. However, you can sometimes greet the characters who are featured in the show… but you probably won’t see the show!
When the weather gets bad – cold, typically – the show will be cancelled. Sometimes, the characters will be brought out to do meet and greets at the beginning of the showtimes to meet those who are there. This is your chance for Donald!
Have you met this Donald elsewhere?

Goofy
The “Dream Along With Mickey” stage show happens several times a day at Florida’s Magic Kingdom. However, you CAN meet the stars of the show off stage!
However… the show is usually cancelled. When the show is cancelled, usually due to weather, the stars of the show will sometimes come out to meet and greet. This is when you can meet this special Goofy!
Have you met him elsewhere?

Minnie Mouse
While you can currently catch the “Dream Along With Mickey” stage show several times daily at Florida’s Magic Kingdom, meeting the characters from it is not that easy.
However, it does happen! When the show is cancelled – typically for weather reasons – the characters will sometimes come down (typically at the beginning of each show time) to meet with fans. This is your chance to meet Minnie in her special outfit!
Have you met this Minnie elsewhere?

Mickey Mouse
While the “Dream Along With Mickey” stage show is held in front of Cinderella Castle at Florida’s Magic Kingdom several times daily, it is rare to meet the actual characters from the show in their outfits.
It may be rare, but it’s possible. When the show is cancelled due to weather – such as the arctic blast in early 2010 – the main characters often come out to do meet and greets at the times the show is set to begin. This is when you can meet Mickey in this special outfit.
Have you met this version of Mickey elsewhere or otherwise?

Hi everyone,
I would like to offer sincere thanks to everyone who has visited (and promoted) my blog in 2009, as it debuted. I am also very thankful for a HUGE start to 2010, as January 1st had the second-most blog visits of all time!
I will begin updating as regularly as I can again this month. There is still a WORLD of charaacters and variations out there.
I am also changing the name of the blog from “The Disney Character Blog” to “The Disney Parks Character Blog”, just as a reminder that is focuses on meeting characters in the parks and where they can be found.
Thank you for all of your support!

We here at The Disney Character Blog would like to take a moment to pay our respects to a true Disney legend. Roy Edward Disney, son of Roy O. Disney and nephew of Walt Disney, died on December 16th, 2009 at the age of 79. Roy E. had a 56-year association with the Disney company, and was a true inspiration to us and many others.
Thank you, Roy. As Mickey would say, see ya real soon!

Green Sweater Mickey
Yes, “Green Sweater Mickey” is not a great title, but with so many variations of Mickey, creativity eventually runs out!
Mickey gets into the Christmas spirit on both sides of the United States with his fashionable green Christmas sweater and Santa hat. In 2009, he wore this outfit at two parks. In Florida, he wears it at Animal Kingdom in his normal greeting spot in Camp Minnie-Mickey. He only wears this during the holidays, notably late November and December. In California, the same rule applies but at Disneyland.
